Vector Illustration

These are vector illustrations I created to improve my technique and experiment with different styles. I illustrated the poppy to commemorate Remembrance Day and the method I used to build it out of vectors was inspired by the sketching I did based on vintage matchbox labels and stamps that I admire.

This is an experimentation in abstraction, and creating symmetrical and pixel perfect illustrations in illustrator.

Digital Illustration

These are badges and ribbons commemorating small victories that I shared on my instagram to connect with my community in the early months of the pandemic.

I love comics and cartoons, and so I used memories from working at an independent bookshop to create these and connect with the people I used to work with.

Learning how to rub my belly and pat my head at the same time was one of the skills I learned as a bookseller.

When I began working out I approached the problem of not knowing what to do at the gym the same way I do everything else: I went to the library. I took notes from workout books, and made my own workout zine. It is made up of a single sheet of paper so it’s easy to print new ones, and it fits in the palm of my hand or the little pockets that come with workout clothes. All of the drawings are of me being grouchy, because I do not like working out but I understand it’s good for you. I also created a version to share on my instagram, to get my community to work out at home along with me.

Thank you!
